Kourtesi 14, Halandri, Athens, Greece 15234
We are situated about two blocks away from the Aghia Paraskevi Metro station. You will find our church to be warm and friendly, committed to Jesus Christ’s commandment to love the Lord our God with all our hearts and our neighbors as ourselves (Matthew 22:36-40). We worship God with a traditional style of worship that nevertheless is vibrant with lots of singing, sound Bible teaching and preaching, prayer and fellowships. Ours is a church of believers from diverse nations, backgrounds and ages, yet all unite as family to worship the Lord and encourage one another in Christ. We hope this website will answer most of the questions you may have about our church. If you have any further questions, please feel free to contact us. And we extend a warm and open invitation for you to worship with us.
Bible Baptist Church in Halandri began as a vision placed by God in the hearts of American missionaries Larry Theofanopoulos and William Bailey. Established in 1990 in the northern suburb of Athens, Bible Baptist Church is an independent Baptist church. It was and continues to be modeled after the New Testament churches found in Scripture.
The prison ministry was begun by Pastor Bailey in 1993 and continues through Pastor Tsirozidis and Patrick Usifo. Pastor Tsirozidis has visited many Greek prisons and detention centers in the past. Currently, he visits Korydallos Prison once a week. Patrick Usifo visits Patra Prison once a month. During these visits, both men lead Bible studies and minister to the spiritual and physical needs of the men. Many have come to know the Lord Jesus Christ as their Savior through this ministry and the Bible correspondence courses we offer.
